The trailer for the movie Ad Astra, with Brad Pitt, Liv Tyler, Donald Sutherland and Tommy Lee Jones has just been released. Due out in IMAX cinemas in September.
The Matrix 4
With most loose ends tied up at the end of Matrix 3, I’m not sure how Matrix 4 is going to work. We’ve also heard rumours of a ‘reboot’ rather than continuing the saga, as well as a prequel. Will we get a new Neo? Or a young Morpheus? Or, if the robots have taken over the galaxy, a completely new storyline on another planet? In any case both Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss have signed up to take part, and one of the Wachowski sisters has already started working on it, with presumably the other one joining later. Season 7 will be screened on Disney Plus starting February 2020. It’ll be the final season of the series.
Memory Lane: Any Asimov: Foundation News?
As you may have heard, Apple TV Plus has greenlit a TV series based on Asimov’s complicated, galaxy spanning series Foundation. The latest news is that Limerick’s Troy Studios is likely to produce it. Updates here
The streaming service is purported to not begin until at least November, and even if production has already started, it’s doubtful we’ll get much more detailed news on this until 2020. Hopefully we’ll see a trailer by the end of the year.
